Essential Layers: Sage x Clare Women's Coats and Jacquard Jackets Quilted Layers and Denim.
Our women’s coats and jackets are designed to do more than keep out the cold—they’re the finishing touch that makes any outfit feel complete. From quilted cotton layers to softly structured jacquard styles, each piece blends warmth, comfort and considered design. Slip one over cosy knitwear for extra insulation, or wear it open to showcase the layers beneath. With timeless silhouettes and rich textures, these outerwear staples protect from the elements while elevating your everyday style.
The Robe Cut and What to Layer Underneath
A robe cut is designed to feel relaxed rather than structured, wrapping softly around the body with an easy, adjustable fit. It also leaves plenty of room for layering underneath, whether that’s a lightweight knit, one of your favourite dresses or a simple top with pants or denim. You’ll notice some of our women’s coats and jackets come in combined sizes, such as XS/S and S/M. This works particularly well with the relaxed robe shape, giving you flexibility through the body and making it easier to layer without the fit feeling restrictive.
Organic Cotton Jackets and Their Linings.
Every coat and jacket begins with fabrics chosen for their durability, comfort and performance. Think quilted cotton for breathable warmth and soft jacquards that add subtle texture. Linings are thoughtfully selected to feel comfortable against the skin while helping each piece hold its shape wear after wear. Designed to layer seamlessly over your favourite pants and skirts, our outerwear is made to weather the seasons—and the years—with style.
Caring for Your Sage x Clare Coat or Jacket
Our coats and jackets are made with love, care and a mix of beautiful materials, so treating them gently will keep them looking their best season after season. Always check the care label first, as each style may have unique requirements. As a general guide, we recommend a cold gentle machine wash with mild detergent, washing items separately and removing them promptly when the cycle finishes. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or brighteners to help preserve colour and texture. Instead of tumble-drying, line-dry or flat-dry in the shade, and use a cool iron on areas without embellishment if needed. We don’t recommend dry cleaning.
